Q: What
is the annual Family Partnership Campaign?
A: A
fundraising effort that coincides with Girl Scout registration.
The campaign asks for contributions
to Girl Scouts of Lac Baie Council from the family of our girl members.
Q: Why should I participate?
A: Giving to the annual Family Partnership Campaign demonstrates your support
of your Girl Scout. In addition,
outside funding sources like to know how our members are supporting the Girl
Scout Movement.
Q: How much should I give?
A: How much to donate is a personal decision. We ask that each family gives as
much as they can. Any dollar amount
is appreciated. Troops averaging $50
or more, receive a 20% rebate to be used towards troop expenses.
Q: Where does the money go?
A: 100% of all contributions go to Girl Scouts of Lac Baie Council and
supports all Girl Scout troops and/or groups.
Nearly 80% goes directly to support council program activities, leader
training, recruitment and resource development.
Q: Why does the Council need money?
A: The council is a non-profit 501(c )(3) organization that depends on public
support. It costs the council over $216.90 a year to serve one girl. We have
5,000 girls in our council.
