Some Quick Girl Scout Facts:
- Troops are formed by grade level and can meet at
school, a public facility or the troop leader’s home.
- Register by October 1st and troop meetings
will begin in fall to coincide with
the school year; however, girls can join at any time.
- The day, time and frequency of troop meetings are
determined by the troop leaders.
- The girls, with the help of the troop
leader,
decide what activities they want to do to get the most out of Girl Scouting.
- Ongoing training and support are provided for
troop leaders.
- Girl Scouting exists to inspire girls with the
highest ideals and character.
- Each troop is unique, pursuing activities that
interest the girls.
- Girls
are encouraged to experiment, look at new ideas and be leaders.
- Parents are encouraged to get involved. Your help is appreciated, especially by your daughter!
